Frequently Asked

Do I need to be Hindu or follow a specific religion to join Bhakti Marga? +
Absolutely not. Bhakti Marga is open to people of all religious backgrounds, or none at all. Our message is universal: love of God transcends all religious boundaries. People from Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Buddhist, and secular backgrounds all participate in our programmes and community life.
How do I find a Bhakti Marga community near me? +
We have satsang groups and community centres in over 50 countries. You can use the "Find Your Community" feature on the main Bhaktimarga.org website to locate a group near you. Alternatively, send us a message through this contact form and we'll connect you with your nearest community.
What is Atma Kriya Yoga and how do I learn it? +
Atma Kriya Yoga is a complete yoga system given by Paramahamsa Vishwananda, integrating pranayama, kriyas, mantra, and meditation. It is taught through a formal initiation and structured course. Courses are offered regularly both in person at our ashram and online. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
Can I visit the Shree Peetha Nilaya ashram in Germany? +
Yes! The ashram warmly welcomes visitors for retreats, festivals, and day visits. We recommend checking the events calendar on bhaktimarga.org to plan around one of our programmes, as these offer the richest experience. Accommodation on the ashram grounds can be booked in advance.
How can I support the work of Bhakti Marga? +
The most meaningful support is your sincere spiritual practice and participation in our community. Beyond that, Bhakti Marga is supported by donations and volunteer seva (selfless service). One-time and regular donations can be made through donate.bhaktimarga.org, and volunteer opportunities are available both at the ashram and within local communities worldwide.
Are Bhakti Marga events and satsangs free to attend? +
Many of our local satsangs and community gatherings are offered freely or by donation, as it is a core Bhakti Marga value that the path be accessible to all regardless of financial means. Larger retreats and festival events typically have registration fees to cover costs, with partial scholarships available for those who need them.
